How we choose the right solution for your space

Aluminum sliding systems open the space to the view without visible, massive profiles. The strong ALU construction carries large and heavy glazed sashes, which makes them suitable for living rooms with panoramic openings, hotels, restaurants and villas with sea views. The right system depends on the size of the opening, the use of the room and the level of thermal insulation required.

Why aluminum for sliding systems

Large sliding openings demand a strong structure. Aluminum is ideal here because it combines strength with low weight — a slimmer profile delivers more glass for the same opening size. In addition, ALU does not warp under sun and temperature swings, so even very wide sashes retain their shape over the years.

For coastal properties, ALU sliding systems — especially in anodized form — stand up well to salt air and UV exposure. The structure and hardware are engineered for the weight of the glass and the expected number of opening cycles, so a long service life is a realistic expectation.

Lift-and-slide (HS) systems

The lift-and-slide system raises the sash off the gasket when the handle turns, so it glides with minimal friction. When closed, the sash drops onto the gasket, delivering notable thermal and sound insulation. For living rooms and spaces where energy efficiency is a priority, this is the standard solution.

HS systems can carry very heavy glazed sashes, making them compatible with triple glazing and large dimensions. When designing, we consider the number of movable and fixed sashes, the parking position for the sash and the direction of travel toward the room.

Bi-fold and panoramic systems

The bi-fold ALU system folds the sashes to one side and opens the opening almost completely. It suits hotels, restaurants and residential properties where the living room connects to a terrace or garden. Sashes can fold inward or outward, depending on the space.

For very large panoramic openings, a combination of fixed and movable elements is used. Custom hardware and carefully selected glass keep the structure slim and visually discreet, while maintaining the required strength and insulation.

Glass for ALU sliding systems

We choose glass based on the orientation of the opening and the use of the room. A Low-E coating reduces heat loss in winter and overheating in summer. For urban properties and those along busy roads, glass with better acoustic insulation is available.

Triple glazing is the natural choice for HS systems when energy efficiency is the focus. Parts of the system can also use safety (laminated) glass, especially in ground-floor openings and balcony railings that are part of the same project.

Process and installation

After measurement we discuss the system type, sash layout, color and glass. You receive a written quote with hardware and glass specifications, lead times and warranty. During installation we check the horizontal alignment of the track, the mechanism and the final seating of the sash — HS systems are specifically calibrated for sash height and handle operation.

When replacing an existing opening, we remove and dispose of the existing joinery at no cost. We walk you through daily use, cleaning the profile and hardware maintenance recommendations.

From first call to final check

1. Project conversation

Call us or send an email with basic information about the property and the openings you want to replace. Photos help, but they do not replace precise on-site measurement.

2. Free measurement

We come to your address in Nikšić, Podgorica, the coast or anywhere in Montenegro. We discuss the choice and go through the details on site.

3. Written quote

You receive the specification, price, timeline and warranty before any order is placed. Questions are welcome at this stage.

4. Production and installation prep

Lead time depends on the system and order size and is agreed in writing. Please prepare access to the openings before our arrival.

5. Installation and removal of old joinery

For replacements we dismantle and remove the existing joinery free of charge. We walk you through operation and maintenance.

What else would you like to know - alu sliding systems?

  1. 01 What is the difference between a classic and a lift-and-slide system?

The classic sliding system works by the sash moving along a lower track. The lift-and-slide system (HS) raises the sash above the gasket when the handle turns and lowers it when closing, which gives significantly better thermal and sound insulation.

  2. 02 How wide can an ALU sliding sash be?

A single sash can reach around 4 meters. For wider openings the system is built over multiple sashes with movable and fixed elements.

  3. 03 Can an ALU sliding system have triple glazing?

Yes, especially in the HS variant. The structure is engineered to carry heavier glass and the hardware is matched accordingly.

  4. 04 Do you build panoramic openings with fixed and movable sashes?

Yes. Panoramic openings often combine fixed glass elements with movable sliding sashes. The configuration is agreed based on the opening and use of the space.

  5. 05 Are ALU sliding doors suitable for hotels?

They are — ALU construction and professional-grade hardware handle a high number of opening cycles. Anodized finish helps further on coastal properties due to salt air.

  6. 06 Is measurement free?

Measurement and quoting are free. We cover Nikšić, Podgorica and the entire coast — Budva, Tivat, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Bar.

  7. 07 Do you remove the old joinery?

Yes, free removal and disposal of existing doors or windows is included in the standard service.

  8. 08 What is the warranty?

1 to 5 years, depending on the system, glass and hardware. The exact duration is stated in the quote.
