Why specification in Bar is not the same as everywhere

Bar has the highest annual insolation in Montenegro. Intense UV radiation can fade joinery colors over time and reduce the elasticity of gaskets. For profile selection we recommend high-quality systems with a UV-resistant film (for PVC) or an anodized or premium powder-coated finish (for aluminum). Less robust variants that perform well in the Montenegro interior can show wear more quickly on the coast.
Low-E coated glazing and, where needed, a tinted outer layer, are practically a rule for facades oriented to the south and south-west. They reduce overheating, protect interiors from fading and deliver better comfort during the summer, when Bar regularly tops 35 degrees.
Sutomore, Čanj, Zelenjak
The tourist settlements south of Bar (Sutomore, Čanj, Zelenjak) have a concentration of apartments and holiday homes. Anthracite variants are used in central Bar but are less common in Stari Bar, where traditional shades feel more appropriate.
When renovating older houses we recommend getting in touch early - before the existing joinery is removed. Precise measuring of the openings and assessment of the walls is easier while the old joinery is still in place.
