Why there is no single “price per m²”
The price of PVC joinery depends on actual measurements and configuration. Two openings of the same surface area can have very different prices if the leaf count, opening type, glass, color or hardware differ. That is why instead of an unreliable price list, we prepare a written specification for your project — so you know exactly what you are buying and what you are comparing against other offers.
A written quote should clearly separate the window itself, chosen glass and hardware, accessories (roller shutters, insect screens, exterior shutters) and scope of work (dismantling of old joinery, installation, finishing around the openings). With replacement, free dismantling and removal is standard — important when comparing against offers that do not include it.
Factors that influence the price
01 Profile and chamber count
Profile thickness and chamber count influence thermal and acoustic insulation. Thicker profiles with more chambers deliver better performance at a higher price per m². Standard residential projects most often use 70–82 mm profiles.
02 Glass
Double glazing is the standard choice for most apartments and houses. We recommend triple glazing for windy locations, mountain areas or where energy efficiency is paramount. Acoustic glass significantly affects the price.
03 Color and finish
White is standard and the most cost-effective. Wood decor, anthracite, brown and other foil-wrapped options raise the price depending on the system. Dual-color versions (different inside and outside) add further to the quote.
04 Opening type and leaf count
Fixed leaves are less expensive than opening ones. More leaves mean more hardware. Lift-and-slide systems are priced above classic sliding versions, but deliver meaningfully better insulation and comfort.
05 Hardware and security
Standard hardware is included. Security upgrades — multi-point locking, security cylinders, RC1/RC2 anti-burglary classes — add a fixed amount per opening.
06 Accessories
Roller shutters, insect screens, exterior shutters and door panels further influence the final amount. Our recommendation: plan them together with the windows — one installation and better aesthetic integration.
Orientation ranges by category
The overview below provides a rough orientation — the final price is shaped by the specification. Ranges are for standard residential examples; premium configurations, large openings and specific requirements fall outside these ranges.
Orientation price ranges | Item | Range |
| PVC windows (standard, white, double glazing) | base variant, priced to measure |
|---|
| PVC windows (wood decor or anthracite) | surcharge over the base variant |
|---|
| PVC entry doors (standard) | from around €300 per unit |
|---|
| PVC entry doors (premium panel, security hardware) | up to €800 and above depending on the panel |
|---|
| PVC sliding system (up to 3 m) | priced per m² and type — classic vs. lift-and-slide |
|---|
| Aluminum windows (with thermal break) | premium segment, priced per m² and profile |
|---|
| Roller shutters (PVC) | from around €50/m² |
|---|
| Roller shutters (aluminum) | from around €80/m², insulated from around €120/m² |
|---|
| Insect screens (fixed) | from around €30 per unit |
How to compare two quotes
When comparing, require each quote to list the specific profile (system name and thickness), Uw value of the finished window, hardware model and glass type. If an offer only contains a line “PVC window per m²” with no specification — ask for it to be completed. Concrete data is the only way to compare quality, not just the amount.
Also pay attention to scope of work. Are dismantling, removal, foam, trim and final cleanup included? Does the price cover installation and mechanism adjustment? Missing any of these items means you will pay for them later — or do them yourself.
What is not in the quote — but worth knowing in advance
Masonry work around the openings (adjustments to the reveal, drywall, painting) is most often not part of a joinery quote. If you have specific requirements on this front, let us know during the first conversation so we can recommend an approach — either agreed with a third party or included in the specification.
Also, do not assume equal availability of all colors and profiles at any given time. Delivery of certain systems and finishes depends on market conditions, so we confirm the installation date in writing before ordering.
